Micro-Folie "Università di Corsica"

What is a Micro-Folie ?
The Micro-Folie program is a cultural policy device supported by the Ministry of Culture and coordinated by the public establishment of the park and the Grande Halle de la Villette in conjunction with 12 institutions: the Center Pompidou, the Château de Versailles, the City of Music – Philharmonie de Paris, the Avignon Festival, the Arab World Institute, the Louvre, the Picasso-Paris National Museum, the Orsay Museum, the Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac Museum, the National Opera of Paris, the Réunion des Musées Nationaux – Grand Palais, and Universcience.
Each Micro-Folie is articulated around its Digital Museum. It is a digital art gallery that brings together several thousand works from many institutions and museums. Fine arts, architecture, scientific cultures, performing arts, it is an “open door to the diversity of the treasures of humanity”. The Digital Museum is particularly suitable for artistic and cultural education courses.
La Micro-Folie also offers a virtual reality space that offers a selection of 360° immersive content : documentaries, shows, seminars, films and any other form of cultural and educational restitution for public use.
How does it work ?
The Micro-Folie "Università di Corsica" site is located in the immersive room of the "Places, Identities, eSpaces, Activities" Laboratory (UMR 6240 LISA - University of Corsica/CNRS), Campus Mariani, Edmond Simeoni Building, Avenue Jean Nicoli, 20250 CORTE.
The “digital museum” module
Located in the very heart of the immersive room of the UMR LISA, this virtual art gallery allows you to discover the treasures of the largest national institutions and all the partner institutions. Scanned in very high definition, the works in this eclectic gallery are easy to access and available in several languages, including Corsican.
The “virtual reality” module with immersive headsets
The virtual reality space offers a selection of 360° immersive content. Equipped with the latest generation immersive headsets , this space is located at the entrance to the immersive room, on the ground floor of the Simeoni building.
What is there for the public (university, school, general public)?
Are you a university teacher? You teach in college or high school and you want to come with your students or pupils?
Are you a member of an association? Are you retired?
Our immersive room welcomes you every first Thursday of the month, thanks to this general public tool put at the service of our territory. We invite you to explore exceptional cultural and artistic universes or discover the latest advances in research related to virtual immersion through the regional collections of our research laboratory.

The digital museum
It brings together many works from major French museum institutions through two collections:
- A first collection bringing together the Philharmonie de Paris, the Louvre, the Pompidou Museum, Universciences, the Picasso Museum, the Château de Versailles and the RMN/Grand Palais.
- A second collection to which is added the Quai Branly Jacques Chirac museum, the Orsay museum, the Avignon festival, the Arab World Institute (IMA) and the Paris Opera. Each partner museum has provided the digitization of the works as well as the associated content in order to enrich the museum proposal, which extends to more than 500 works. proposals for thematic visits by cycle in connection with university and school programs, or possibility of creating your visit by choosing the works beforehand.
The Digital Museum offers two possible visit modes:
- The free visitor mode allows everyone to have free access to the Digital Museum. Everyone can follow their own navigation, between the screen and their tablet, by reading the labels designed by museum curators, while playing.
- The lecturer mode makes it possible to organize themed and scheduled visits for groups. A real tool for artistic and cultural education, the Digital Museum then becomes the support for events, workshops and meetings, making the inhabitants actors in cultural life.
